I am a contemporary watercolor artist and author based in Bergen, Norway.

My work blends natural subjects with a modern, minimal aesthetic inspired by Nordic landscapes and gardens, shifting light, and the exploration of color.

​

Working primarily in watercolor, I use layered transparency, soft gradients, and abstract textures to create a sense of depth and calm. My practice ranges from landscapes and botanical subjects to more experimental works where color, transparency, and shape take center stage. I enjoy pushing watercolor beyond traditional boundaries by combining controlled detail with spontaneous, fluid effects.

I am the author of "How to Paint Transparent Flowers with Watercolor" book, published in six languages and enjoyed by watercolor artists around the world.

I represent Norway in the Nordic Watercolor Society (NAS) and have served on the jury for the European Confederation of Watercolour Societies (ECWS) exhibitions. I regularly teach workshops and give demonstrations internationally, sharing my passion for contemporary watercolor.

My work has been exhibited in international watercolor exhibitions and is held in private collections worldwide. ​
